The Pet Pals Mentorship Program is a customized approach to building a strong human/dog family dynamic based on the understanding of the needs and wants of you, your family, and your dog(s). In being this liaison between you and your dog(s), Pet Pals will help build the strong foundation that leads to the lifelong success and happiness that everyone wants with their
pets.
  • What is Pet Pals' Mentorship Program?

    Pet Pals Mentorship Program is setting your dog up for success from the get go and/or getting them back on the right track, whether they're a puppy or a sernior citizen! This program teaches about the importance of socialization; how to best help your canine family members; housebreak a puppy (or adult dog); about body language basics, and so much more. With the Pet Pals Expert Mentor, you'll learn about the importance of canine enrichment and how easy it is to do, what to expect from your dog as they age, and/or how to integrate your new Pet with older Pets. Throughout the program you'll gain knowledge about resources available to you and your dog as well as interesting and relevant facts that tie all of this together to set your dog and family up for success.

    In short, it is a training structure based on rewarding the wanted behavior that your animal performs and ignoring the bad behaviors. Pet

    Pals' main goal is to teach your dog what to do in a given situation or instance rather than getting angry at them when they perform an action

    you don’t want.  This reward-based structure encourages your dog to want to work with you as a team and pay more attention to you. Learning becomes a fun game for them and will enhance the lifelong bond you already share.

    Animals will repeat any reinforced behavior.

    Sounds simple, but it is trickier than it sounds.
